10 Clean Recipes to Kick off the New Year

Do you feel tired all the time? Sluggish and weighed down? If you are anything like me, this time of year it feels like I’ve had my fill of decadent meals and junk food. Sure, everyone has their resolutions and promises to do better, but I find that healthy habits won’t stick unless I break them down into easily attainable steps. So if goal number one is to eat more salad, I’m going to be sure to choose a dressing that is both minimally processed (better yet homemade) and dairy-free. A simple tahini dressing does the trick for me. Another easy way to make my day healthier is to start with a strawberry banana smoothie. I freeze the leftovers into breakfast popsicles for my son. And I keep a batch of brown rice and black beans in the fridge to add to meals throughout the week.

To help you kick off your new year with the clean-yet-satisfying foods your body craves, here are 10 of my favorite recipes:

Herb and Caper Crusted Salmon

Slow Cooker Minestrone Soup

Roast Butternut Squash and Lentils

Grilled Cauliflower Steaks

French Bean Salad

Thai Chicken Stir Fry

Healthy Nachos

Tofu Spring Rolls

Chickpea and Beetroot Burgers
